Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This policy explains what personal information Better Grandma collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers bettergrandma.com and any purchase made through it.

1. Who Is Responsible for Your Data

Colas Growth LLC

Trading as Better Grandma

1209 Mountain Rd Pl NE, Ste R, Albuquerque, NM 87110, United States

[email protected]

Colas Growth LLC is the data controller for the information described below. Privacy requests can be sent to the address above.

2. What We Collect

  • Quiz answers. The choices you make in our quiz, so we can show you a relevant recommendation. You can take the quiz without giving us your name or email.
  • Contact and order details. Your name and email address when you place an order, plus what you bought, when, and for how much.
  • Support correspondence. The content of emails you send us, so we can answer them and keep a record of what was agreed.
  • Technical data. Standard information your browser sends — IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed — used to keep the site running and secure.

3. What We Never See

We do not collect, process or store card numbers, expiry dates or security codes. Payment details are entered into and handled entirely by our third-party payment processor, which is certified to the PCI DSS standard. We receive only what we need to identify the order, such as the outcome of the payment and the last four digits of the card.

4. Why We Use It

  • To deliver what you bought and give you access to it — necessary to perform our contract with you.
  • To answer support requests and process refunds — necessary to perform our contract with you.
  • To personalise the recommendation shown after the quiz — our legitimate interest in making the site useful.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent fraudulent orders — our legitimate interest, and a requirement of our payment processor.
  • To meet accounting, tax and record-keeping obligations — a legal obligation.
  • To send marketing emails — only where you have given consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Automated decision-making. The quiz recommendation is generated automatically from your answers, but it only suggests content for you to consider — it does not make any decision that produces a legal effect or similarly significantly affects you (for example, it does not approve or deny you anything, and does not set an individual price for you).

5. Marketing Emails

We only send marketing email to people who asked for it. Every marketing message includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. Order confirmations, access details and refund notices are service messages tied to a purchase and are sent regardless, because you need them.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your progress through the quiz, keep your session working, and measure how the site is used so we can improve it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you do, parts of the site may not work as intended. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

7. Who We Share It With

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the business, and only with what they need to do their job:

  • our payment processor, to take payment and handle refunds;
  • our email provider, to send order confirmations and access details;
  • our hosting and content delivery provider, to serve the site;
  • our accountants and, where we are legally required to, public authorities.

8. International Transfers

We are based in the United States and our service providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere. Where personal data is transferred out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the appropriate safeguards permitted by law, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

9. How Long We Keep It

Order and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, which is currently seven years. Support correspondence is kept for three years. Quiz answers from visitors who never order are kept for twelve months. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe, and we remove them promptly afterwards.

10. Security

The site is served over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to order and customer data is limited to the people who need it to run the business and is protected by strong authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we take these measures seriously and review them as the business grows.

11. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete your information, where we are not required to keep it;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • send a copy to you or another provider in a portable format;
  • withdraw a consent you previously gave.

Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. Exercising these rights is free and we will not treat you differently for using them. If you are in the EEA or the UK and you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to your national data protection authority.

12. California Residents

Better Grandma does not currently meet the revenue or data-volume thresholds that make the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) legally apply to a business. As a matter of policy, we extend the same rights described in Section 11 to California residents regardless: the right to know, delete, correct and opt out. We have not sold personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. To make a request, use the email address above.

13. Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Where a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
